Prof. David Hirshleifer is an Honorary / Advisory Fellow Economist of the United Sigma Intelligence Association (USIA).
David Hirshleifer is Robert G. Kirby Chair in Behavioral Finance, a Fellow and former-President of the American Finance Association, and an associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research. He served as Executive Editor of the Review of Financial Studies, director of the American and Western Finance Associations, and as an editor at other leading finance, economics, and business journals. His Presidential Address to the American Finance Association advocates an emerging paradigm, social economics and finance, which studies how the social transmission of ideas, information and behavior affects markets. His research has won distinguished awards, and he has been keynote speaker at many conferences internationally. In his ample spare time, he composes classical music and sight-reads on the piano.
